Shenise has served in the field of social work for over 18 years. She is a proud graduate of Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research and has dedicated her work to trauma informed care and practice with children, adults, families and communities. Shenise works very closely with the foster care system and Infant Childhood Mental Health helping to implement trauma informed practice within organizations. Currently she utilizes her own workplace wellness model where she provides yoga and therapy to child welfare staff. Ms. Henderson also teaches social work practice at the Graduate School of Social Work at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Shenise holds a certification in trauma sensitive yoga and is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher with an additional 95-hour certification for children. She also recently completed an additional 300-hour certification.
Shenise holds a License in Clinical Social Work and has multiple additional certifications for best practice with her clients.
